THEY may not win the league, but without hitting a ball last night Fermoy were promoted to Division One of the Munster Senior League.

In the last game in that league Catholic Institute took on Limerick last night, with several outcomes still possible.

A draw and Fermoy automatically were league champions, but a win for either side would see it go to a play-off. It looked like it was going Fermoy’s way when it remained scoreless at the break.
