SHORTS by day — yay or nay? We’ve gone all poetic this week as we mull over our latest style style dilemma — yes, we know our lives are tough.
We don’t know if we’re risking a fashion faux pas by daring to bare by day or if we’ll look all gamine, like an extra on Gossip Girl. 
Our fashion gurus advise that it all comes down to our pins but we can give ourselves a sporting chance by going with as long a hem as possible, in as forgiving a fabric as possible, with as high a heel as possible. So taking all that on board, we’re thinking perhaps a scalloped-edge cotton pair, longer than hot pants but shorter than bermudas, worn with skyscrapers and a smart blazer for a degree of respectability.
The shorts pictured right by Penneys seem to fit the bill quite nicely so we’re preparing for the big reveal…any day now! 
And in the meantime we’ve been seduced by the rest of their summer collection — affordable, imaginative and easier to wear than shorts!
