A MAN charged with serious assault arising out of a fatal stabbing in Cork at the weekend appeared in Cork District Court today.
Timothy Kelleher, whose 25th birthday falls today, was charged with intentionally or recklessly causing serious harm to Mark Hanlon at Infirmary Road, Cork, on Sunday, May 6.
Mark Hanlon, a 31-year-old father-of-one from Lotamore, died as a result of his injuries in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Garda Derek Barnett charged Kelleher with the serious assault contrary to the Non-fatal Offences Against the Person Act.
