MUSKERRY has rallied around the chairman of the local GAA board in his bid to return home after a year in hospital following a devastating farming accident.
Father-of-four JJ Long has been hospitalised since a serious accident last year when the tractor he was in overturned.
The chairman of the Muskerry GAA board suffered severe and permanent injuries in the devastating accident, and now his local community are embarking on a major fundraising drive. His local community has rallied around him, and the fundraising drive will be launched in Kilmurry GAA complex on Thursday night.
It aims to help the Long family defray some of the costs involved in extending and adapting the family home to suit JJ’s future needs.
