A Cork mother has contacted gardaí with concerns about a video featuring her semi-naked teenage daughter.
The video of the 15-year-old was circulated via the internet among teenagers in north Cork.
The matter was brought to the attention of the girl’s parents, and her mother contacted gardaí in recent days.
A secondary school in the area also contacted gardaí to report the matter.
Officers are currently seeking advice on whether any criminal charges can be brought as a result of the video.
They have contacted the Health Service Executive (HSE) in relation to the video and the HSE is now liaising with the school.
A number of other secondary schools in the north Cork area have also been contacted after details
of the video’s existence emerged.
