A businesswoman from Carrigaline will represent Cork at the Rose of Tralee festival this year.
Bríd Ryan was one of 47 contestants for the title, and was selected at the end of two nights of interviews at the SilverSprings Moran Hotel on Saturday night.
Bríd, aged 27, has a degree in Media Arts and a Masters in Public Relations from DIT.
However, she is a huge sports fan and has set up her own sportswear business in the Rubicon Centre in CIT.
She represented the centre in the Cork Rose contest.
The judges were Judges Claire Kambamettu (Rose of Tralee 2010), Laura Costelloe (2007 Kerry Rose) and Donal Gill (Former International Festival Escort).
