A total of €5m in funding has been announced to support reconciliation projects in the North and along the border.

It has come from the International Fund for Ireland, and one of the schemes that will benefit is the Peace Walls Programme.

It works to build relationships in interface communities.

The International Fund for Ireland was formed in 1986 and has so far provided almost €840m to a wide variety of projects.
