CORK City had a teenage Croatian defender at training at Bishopstown last night writes NOEL SPILLANE
The 18 year-old, Thomislav Posavec was unable to get a work permit in England after a trial with Arsenal and, via an agent, he has arrived at Cork City’s doorstep.
Posavec can play at left-back or on the left side of midfield and will train with the first team squad all week.

He could yet get to play in Sunday’s friendly with Blackburn Rovers.
Irish international Colin Healy is ruled out of both the Blackburn and St. Pat’s matches at the weekend with a thigh strain but other than that the Leesiders will be at full strength for another busy weekend.
Meanwhile, The 2012 Cork City FC Golf Classic will be held on September 12th and 13th at the Blarney Golf Resort.

Teams of three cost €200. This includes your round of golf, refreshments, and 3-course meal.
There will also be some excellent prizes up for grabs for the competing golfers.
