A huge crowd witnessed the surprise birth of a baby giraffe calf at Fota Wildlife Park around 4pm on Friday. More than 4,000 people visited the popular wildlife parkon what was one of its busiest days of the year when two baby giraffes were unveiled.
The first baby female calf was born on July 21 to mother Bláithín and the second surprise calf was born to mother Sapphire in front of a crowd of visitors. Both baby calves have yet to be named.
