The 2012 Rose of Tralee International Festival is underway in Kerry and the 32 International Roses have safely arrived in Tralee.
They were greeted with a Civic Reception at the new Bay Wetlands Centre ahead of the Gala Rose Ball tonight at the Festival Dome.
Kilkenny Rose Aoibhín Murphy is hoping for huge support from her home county this weekend despite the small distraction of the All Ireland Hurling semi final:
"Hopefully I'll be able to boost some moral when I'm on TV on either Monday or Tuesday night, if we do falter a little on Sunday, I'm not saying that we will, just if we do ", she said.
"But we are going to win on Sunday and against Tipp and we'll win again against Galway"
