THE Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr John Buttimer, has called for the expulsion of third-level students who engage in unruly behaviour and put their neighbours “through hell.”
The city’s First Citizen has said a “small but significant minority of students” has caused “huge distress and problems for local communities.”
Cllr Buttimer said those attending CIT and UCC, and particularly those in second year, were regularly hosting late-night house parties in Bishopstown and Glasheen.
He told the Evening Echo: “They are up to everything from urination to copulation in the front gardens of houses”
