IT’S the season of statement coats and we reckon we’ve found The One. It’s part of the Bastyan Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection which they say is designed with an emphasis on defining ‘a new sensibility of edgy grown-up everyday and evening wear.’
Our coat, officially known as the Francine Coat, features in demure tobacco and rich teal and is collarless and cocooned.
It’s gathered at the sleeve and accented with leather and gold. In a word — gorgeous.
The Bestyan collection generally features classic silhouettes and sharp cuts to create beautifully tailored looks.
Shirting plays a big role for autumn/winter as does adornment with things like sequin layered block tops and beautifully trimmed dresses.
Stylish knitwear is present with a cable jumper — a cosy charcoal knit with chunky Toscana fur trimmed cuffs.
Bastyan is stocked in Brown Thomas, Cork.
