A  PLETHORA of peplums, feathers and a sea of gems is how Oasis describes their AW12 collection. They’ve taken all the major trends of the upcoming season, given their unique twist with superb results.
Here’s their master class on what’s hot for the coming months — and how to work them:
MODEL ARMY
There’s a military precision for AW12 which sees a parade of tailored coats equipped with gold buttons and epaulettes, quilting and studs. This season sees a return to cargo and functionality, with khaki green the colour on everyone’s wish list.
DECADENT DARKNESS
Gothic romanticism is back in a big way but with a jaunty new edge. Victoriana with a gothic twist, high necks, ruffled shirts and formal blouses are key to the look.
KNITWEAR HEROINE
This is a mix of texture and fabrics ranging from mohair, fur, leather and shearling, foiled lace and chiffon. Start  stockpiling loopy knits, ponchos, wraps, button-ups and fur gilets.
SIXTIES MINUTES
Tartan has been given a new lease of life. Key shapes and silhouettes include drop waists, peplums, peter pan collars and shift dresses.
SEQUINS AND SPARKLES
Garments adorned and encrusted with gems, sequins and jewels are a huge season statement.  Jaquards, silks, satins  and embellishment all reign supreme  and will get more exciting as we inch toward, dare I say it, Christmas.
