CORK blogger Michelle Bouse was so thrilled to be shortlisted for an award  that she took to the farm to show us what
inspires her!

Michelle says: “The Michelle is in Wonderland blog was launched last year.
“As far back as I can remember, I was a writer. I was churning out poems when other kids my age were still learning nursery rhymes.
“Eighteen months ago I came very close to signing a book deal and when it wasn’t to be — I was devastated. I began to doubt myself.
“Was I kidding myself trying to become a published writer?  I schlepped around until I remembered what I started with — nothing but a love for writing.
“In October 2011, I was itching to write but I wasn’t ready to launch myself into another manuscript, instead I decided to try out the
blogging route.
“All my posts are true reflections of my life except The Silage Lads, which is a fictional continual story. It came about by accident, one evening I was stuck for something to write and
outside all I could hear was the tumble of silage trailers thundering up and down the road and hence The Silage Lads was conceived. It’s a rural based love story which people have become
engrossed in.
“Recently, I felt as the blog was growing that one avenue of creativity wasn’t enough, I wanted to visually portray what I express through the written word so along with Elaine Laverty and Liz Desmond, we
captured my wonderland in pictures.”
