Fashion Editor EMMA CONNOLLY looks ahead to Cork Fashion Week, in association with the Evening Echo

FORGET London and Milan, the fashion spotlight is shining on Cork this week as the third annual Cork
Fashion Week (CFW) kicks off.

CFW, in association with the Evening Echo,  starts on Friday with an Afternoon Tea fashion show  at the  Hayfield Manor Hotel.

On her return from presenting at both London Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week, Irish stylist and TV personality Angela Scanlon will host the event — which will showcase new collections from local boutiques.
Glanmire’s Kellie Forde, pictured, who wowed viewers in this year’s Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model,  will model in all events.

Cork Fashion Week is the brainchild of dynamic duo Emer O’Sullivan and Vivienne Kelly of Lockdown Model Agency.
Emer said: “After watching many international blogs online celebrate Angela Scanlon’s style at London Fashion Week, we are so excited to have Ireland’s answer to Olivia Palermo down to host the first of our CFW events this year. The collections being styled for the show are like nothing you have seen in past seasons.”
The event will also be filmed by Diet Coke for their well-known international Youtube channel and blog, with blogger Sarah Licentiate presenting for the channel at
Hayfield Manor.
Details of all the Cork Fashion Week events are available by visiting www.corkfashionweek.com
