Up 15,000 farmers are currently taking part in a major protest in Dublin city centre.
The Irish Farmers Association members are warning that they cannot endure more Budget cuts in December or a reduction to Common Agriculture Policy payments.
The march from Merrion Square to the Dáil - which got underway just before 1pm - is being led by half a dozen tractors, a combine harvester and other farm machinery.
The IFA President John Bryan has said farmers had no other option than to take to the streets to highlight their concerns.
Mr Bryan said: "I always take the attitude that you have to stand up for yourself and say 'enough is enough' to send a clear signal to the government in Europe.
"Michael Treacy our director of European operations was saying that he has had calls from the French, the Germans and several other countries to know how this is going, because they are looking at this.
"This message that will be sent here today will be heard all across Europe."
