AFTER devastating floods crashed through the Kingsley Hotel over four-and-a-half years ago, the five-star hotel is now set to reopen.
And as finishing touches are being made to the luxury hotel, it is embarking on a major recruitment drive, bringing up to 100 jobs back to the Carrigrohane Road complex. This begins tomorrow with an open day in County Hall, located across the road from the hotel.
On the wanted list are chefs of all levels, accommodation managers and associates, front office agents, luggage porters, spa and fitness staff, food and beverage supervisors and staff, a night officer and a senior event coordinator.
Construction and refurbishment works have been ongoing over the last three months at the the five-star hotel, following its purchase last year by the Beijing-based Kang family.
Much of the interior works are completed and it is expected that it will have its first visitors staying in July.
It closed after flooding in 2009.
The hotel has been closed since November 19, 2009, when flood waters ripped through the ground floor of the building after a major discharge from the Inniscarra dam.
An open day recruitment drive will take place at the Vertigo room on the top floor of County Hall between 4.30pm and 7.30pm tomorrow.
