Evening Echo Women's Mini Marathon

The Evening Echo Women's Mini Marathon is the biggest event of its kind in Munster. It has grown from its beginnings in 1980 with only 300 participants to over 10,000 participants in 2012.

Whether you are a seasoned runner or on a get fit mission or you will be joining a group of friends to enjoy the walk, the Mini Marathon is suitable for everyone, with women choosing to run, jog or walk depending on their fitness level.

Hundreds of thousands of euro have been raised for local, national and international charities and organisations over the last three decades, with the participants themselves deciding who they will support, the Evening Echo Women's Mini Marathon has become a key event on every fundraising calendar. So, why not come and join us on September 15th, we can promise you a fun day out!

Race Office

Registration can be completed at the Evening Echo Women's Mini Marathon Race Office until Thursday, September 12th The Race Office is located upstairs in Debenhams, Patrick’s Street, Cork.


Race Office Opening Times:
Wednesday, September 4 to Saturday, September 7 (10am - 4pm) Monday, September 9 to Wednesday, September 11 (10am - 4pm) Thursday, September 12 (10am - 8pm)
Registration Fee: €10 per person

Charities

Charities from all over Ireland use the Mini Marathon as a major fundraising opportunity each year.

If you would like to participate to raise funds for a particular charity please contact the charity of your choice directly, regarding sponsorship cards, t-shirts etc.

Please remember that even if you have a sponsorship card from your chosen charity, you must officially register with the Evening Echo Women's Mini Marathon and wear
your race number on race day.

All profits from the Evening Echo Women's Mini Marathon go directly to the Athletics Association of Ireland (Cork) who use the proceeds to develop athletics in the Cork area.
(The AAI is an entirely voluntary organisation)

Sunday, September 15th 2013 @ 1pm sharp

Run, jog or walk 4 miles for your chosen charity or just for fun!
All participants are required to officially register to take part
in the Evening Echo Women’s Mini Marathon.

NO RACE NUMBER = NO ENTRY TO THE RACE START AREA & NO MEDAL
Free Goody Bag and Medallion on Race Day for all registered participants.

For Health & Safety reasons:
• Buggies/prams are not permitted in the race
• No dogs in the race (except Guide Dogs)
• Children under 8 years of age will not be allowed to participate
• Please note earphones, iPods etc. are not recommended
