Newspaper reports claim Fianna Fáil ministers are preparing to hold a by-election in Donegal South West in March in an effort to put an end to a Sinn Féin court challenge.
According to a report published in today's Sunday Times, by-elections in Dublin South and Waterford will continue to be put off.
If the move goes ahead, it is likely to spark tensions between Fianna Fáil and the Green Party, which wants all three by-elections to be held at the same time.
