 Mayo crash victim named 8/31/2010 - 8:09:53 AM  The man who was killed in a road crash in Co Mayo yesterday has been named as 61-year-old Peter Meenan from Ballyhaunis. He died when the car he was driving collided with a van on the Claremorris to Ballyhaunis road. A woman, who was a passenger in the car, was injured in the crash and is being treated at Mayo General Hospital. Meanwhile, a man is being treated in hospital after the car he was travelling in collided with a truck in Co Kilkenny. The woman driver of the car died in the crash, which happened on the N9 near Paulstown. Gardaí say she was in her twenties. Her name has not yet been released. |
